Little Miss Writhing Hook

Sat by a babbling brook

To soak her sore feet in a pool

Along came a spider

Who sat down beside her

Oh joy, she said, a new footstool

The spider soon fretted

From feet cold and wetted

Such treatment it thought very cruel

It raised an angry head

Then joined the recent dead

Her hook had unmade the poor fool
